NEWS FROM NAMIBIA
Namibia
This was an eventful missionary journey for Renuka and I from 12 February to 4 March. At first we were looking forward to having fellowship with Udo & Kathleen Wahl with Justin, our ROJ missionaries there. We also spent inspirational meetings with the evening Bible schools in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. We are impressed by the strong demand for the Bible course programme that Udo has developed over his 27 years of ministry.
The long drive took us to the north of the country, stopping along the way to meet other groups of diligent Christian Leadership School participants.
In Ondangwa, 7 full-time students were waiting for us. During the whole week, in addition to lessons, a pastor's seminar, church services and fellowship evenings were on the programme. To be honest, we enjoyed the time of sharing as much as the ministry of preaching and teaching.
Further on in Rundu, Ralph was then able to share his full subject as well as share at the leadership seminar with about 50 pastors, opening their hearts to the Mind of Christ. The highlight was the visit to 4 churches within 4 hours, each with 45-minute meetings. It is fascinating to meet the graduates of Udo's Bible school or the spiritual sons who serve the Lord with simple means and build churches everywhere.
Now a brand new and official church association, "Rays of Joy", is to be formed in Namibia, based on the example of Rays of Joy in India. We used our last day to work out the foundation with the proven leaders, fruits of Udo's work.
