Shoebox Sunday

What a lovely meeting filled with worship, good news stories and a huge pile of shoeboxes!

Liz testified about getting the all clear from cancer.  Nick shared about the amazing intervention of God in three situations in answer to prayer.  Praise God on all counts!

Then there were the shoeboxes which we know will bring such joy to the children who receive them. Alison gave the wonderful children and staff at Hasland Infant School the opportunity to join in and over 40 boxes came from there.

There were around 80 boxes in Chesterfield plus those from the other venues will probably take our total over 100.

We watched the videos that show how God's love demonstrated by you in packing shoeboxes can transform the lives of children.  How God brings the right box to the right child and amazes them with his provision.  Praise God all the more!

Well done to Bev and Nick for providing the 'White Elephant' stall as a means to raise some money towards the admin costs for the shoeboxes.  Their efforts raised a champion £150 - enough to send 30 boxes.
