This Sunday we delighted to have Gareth and Sandra Duffty with us and you will have two opportunities to meet them.
Gareth will be speaking at the whole church meeting in the morning 10.30 am at the Winding Wheel.
Sandra will be speaking at Cafe Church at the Compass which runs 6-7 pm.
Be sure to take these opportunities to come and hear what God wants to say to you through their ministry.

'Better Together' was a slogan adopted by those campaigning for Scotland to vote to remain part of the UK.  They argued the benefits of remaining outweighed the reality of independence.  In recent meetings God has been speaking to us about the benefits of working together for the Kingdom of God. We can accomplish so much more when we work together than when we work alone.

Martyn spoke from 1 Corinthians 12 that we are all important parts of the body of Christ. It's a picture of the church as a human body with each person having a specific place and role to perform.  If the hand refuses to cooperate with the mouth to give it food it is the whole body that starves.  Conversely, when the hand takes food to the mouth the whole body is nourished and fed including the hand. It's when we all work together, fulfilling the roles God has given us, that the church will really flourish and grow.

What does all that mean?  It means you matter and it is important that you are there this Sunday.  Let's come together in worship and see victories in the heavenly realms made reality and lives transformed by the power of God as each of us does our part.

Revival Kids – Raising up a spirit filled, extraordinary generation”
A Conference to inspire church teams in leading transformational Children’s Ministry.

With Emily Phelps Jones, Jarrod Cooper and the Revive Church team.
Saturday 20 October 2018

Children are central to God’s heart for revival.  As Children’s leaders, we are here to raise ‘Revival Kids’; children who know their Father, who are filled with the Holy Spirit and change the world by representing Jesus in their homes, schools and cities.  We’re being called to raise up a generation of holy ‘freedom fighters’ who pray for the sake of the world and burn with the fire of God so that wherever they go, God’s glory is released.

Join us on Saturday 20th October for a day of envisioning and practical teaching on equipping children’s leaders to step out in Kid’s Ministry. It’s an opportunity for your leaders to build vision and explore approaches for seeing kids released in worship, prayer and the prophetic.

At Revive Church we have a passion for children to know God deeply, see miracles and prophecy as a part of normal life, to encounter Jesus in worship and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Join us as we seek to become outstanding children’s leaders, raising an extraordinary generation, born for revival!

At this day conference you will enjoy:
-          Worship, prayer and prophetic ministry.
-          Inspiring keynote sessions
-          Teaching & equipping
-          Children’s ministry networking
-          An opportunity to be envisioned, empowered and equipped as we seek God for this generation.

Price: £5 per person

Venue:  Revive Church

100-Days-Peace-Hope-logo 3 September
70 days to go
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
John 14:27 (NLT)

As a young Christian, this promise from Jesus of inner peace became precious. Recently married, living in a new area, teaching in secondary school, was not conducive to such peace. But this gift was transformational. My inner life changed from ‘jagged black and white’ into a blend of beautiful colours. Since then this ‘inner peace’ has served me well. When I have lost it, it has been time to take stock of my life and sort out some issues. If big decisions have been required, the peace or lack of it has guided me. Faced with scary new challenges, this verse has set me on a calmer path, reminding me that I never face the future alone. What a gift!

Heavenly Father, Thank you that into a turbulent world you sent Jesus, the Prince of Peace, through whom we may have peace with you. Grant again today to your servant the gift of peace in mind and heart, through the power of your Holy Spirit. Amen

Yes we are back at the Winding Wheel this Sunday now that the refurbishments have been completed.  We're very grateful to the folk at the Ragged School for allowing us to use their building over the summer but it will be nice to be back home.
We are planning a dynamic celebration so come prepared to be extravagant in your worship and to hear the word of God.
Join us 10.30 am at The Winding Wheel this Sunday.

We had a great day in Alfreton on Sunday at Party in the Park.  The weather could not have been any better with beautiful hot sunshine all day.  Our musicians led a short time of worship -  looking cool in their sunglasses!  There were free craft activities for children making cards, painting glass jars and pebbbles.  Our face-painters had a marathon with a never ending queue of children.  Marvellous Martyn entertained the children with his illusions and Dave had them competing in the egg and spoon and sack races.  The afternoon finished with a battle over the tug of war.  Lots of fun had by all and the gospel shared for all to hear.
