WHOLE CHURCH MEETING

Sunday 24th June we will be having a whole church meeting in Chesterfield so no meetings at our other venues.  It's always a great time when we gather to celebrate God and worship together.  This month our speaker is our very own Martyn Rowe.
Take the opportunity to invite someone to come to the church meeting with you this week.

CONGRATULATIONS MR & MRS GREVESON!

Many congratulations to Tom and Claire on their wedding yesterday.
We had a fabulous time both at the Registry Office and the evening blessing celebrations.
A beautiful day for a lovely couple.

WHAT DOES FREEDOM REALLY LOOK LIKE? We try and maintain the momentum, but life keeps adding yet more challenges! With home and family pressures, workplace challenges, health and relationships – it’s difficult to know what’s worth keeping up and what to let go. But as Christian women our identity lies not in the season of our lives, nor in our roles and responsibilities – but in Christ.
We’re delighted to be going on tour again in partnership with Spring Harvest. Join us as we unpack more about what freedom really looks like.

The Speakers.

Cathy Madavan is a popular speaker, presenter and writer. She is part of the leadership team of the Spring Harvest festival and writes regularly for Christian publications. Cathy lives with her husband Mark and they have two teenage girls.
Bekah Legg is Director of Mission at her community church and the editor of Liberti magazine. She is married to Steve and together they parent a blended family of five children.

You will come away with.

The confidence to be who you were designed to be.
Tips on how to impact others right where you are.
A deeper revelation of how loved you are.
An understanding of the power of vulnerability
A fresh perspective of how God sees you.

Is it for you?

This event is perfect for all women at any stage of life whether you are a high-heels or wellies person, a Netflix fanatic or a coffee shop lover. We hope this event will be a huge encouragement to you.

CONGRATULATIONS!

What a glorious wedding day for two wonderful people!  The smiles say it all.
Many congratulations to Richard and Jill Kuzniarz on their wedding last Saturday from all the family at New Life Church.

This was the Bible reading from the wedding service:  Ephesians 5:21-33

And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord.  For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.  As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.  In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. And we are members of his body.
As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

COME AND SHARE

God is good! Have you got a testimony about his goodness to you? It's a sharing meeting this Sunday so be thinking about what you could share that would be an encouragement to the church. Tell us about what God has done for you or bring some verses from the Bible that have blessed you. It's all up to us this week!
