EASTER SUNDAY

We get excited about Easter at NLC but not just on the prescribed Sunday.  Every day has the potential for new life in Jesus and a fresh start whenever we need it.  Because he died all our wrong doing is forgiven; the mistakes we made in the past and the ones we made this morning.  Because he rose from the dead he made a way for us to have eternity with our Father in heaven.  We live in the resurrection power of Jesus and he reaches out to the lost world through us.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.  Ephesians 1:19-20

Join us this Sunday 10.30 am for a family celebration of what Easter is really all about.

WHOLE CHURCH MEETING THIS SUNDAY

After the return of the 'Beast from the East' all of our meetings had to be cancelled last Sunday because of the snow and ice. Police had advised people not to go out unless it was really necessary and the repercussions from a slip on the ice are too long term to risk.  So we hope you had a lovely cosy time at home or sledging for the more adventurous!
This coming Sunday we will all be gathering for a whole church meeting and our speaker will be our own Martyn Rowe.  Looking forward to a great time together.

Don't forget the clocks go forward this weekend

LES ISAAC IN CHESTERFIELD THIS WEEKEND!

Really excited that we have Les and Louise Isaac in Chesterfield this weekend.  On Friday he will be visiting the School Pastors at work in Parkside School and hopefully speaking with both staff and children.  On Saturday he is speaking at a lunch which is now fully booked with 80 people having tickets to hear him. But you can join us on Saturday for the Commissioning Service for our newest recruits at the Crooked Spire at 7.30pm where Les will be the speaker.  Grab the opportunity to hear this inspiring speaker.

'AWAKENING' II

This Sunday Dave is bringing the second part of his word about the need for the Church to awaken, rise up and reach for everything God intends her to be.  How about praying for breakthrough for each other this week?  That we can all rise up, clothed in God's strength and dazzle the enemy with our, graciously given, garments of splendour.

Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength!
Put on your garments of splendour, Jerusalem, the holy city....
 rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem.
Free yourself from the chains on your neck Isaiah 52

'SNOWMAGGEDON' HITS OUR SCHEDULE

The snow and freezing conditions mean that George Jarvis will not be able to be with us this Sunday. We will still be meeting on Sunday for as many of you as can make it but please make your safety a priority and if conditions are too treacherous stay at home in the warm.  For those that can make it Dave will be speaking briefly and we will worship and break bread together.

Same for Cafe Church 6pm at The Compass - we'll be there if you can make it come and join us.
