ALFRETON'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEEN

New Life in Alfreton hosted a special community event in honour of our Queen's 90th birthday last Sunday.  After a celebration of 'The Servant Queen and the King She Serves' a wonderful buffet was enjoyed together with crafts and activities for children.  It is clear from what she has said that the Queen has a living faith in God so celebrating her life of service and her birthday within our church family meeting felt quite appropriate. 

Her Majesty was not able to join the party unfortunately - but Sylvia in her finery made a very good stand in!
