We had a fantastic time with Andrew Murray last Sunday talking about the importance of coming to the feet of Jesus and yes we did get to hear the full story about the blind eyes that were healed the week before in Mexico.

In one of the team's meetings a lady had come forward for prayer during the meeting and Jesus healed her blind eyes so that she could see.  Andrew was talking to her afterwards and asked how far she had travelled to come to the meeting.  She said she was from California so he wondered where in Mexico there was a place with that name. But no, she meant California, USA and she was there on holiday. He joked that as well as the compulsory sombrero and donkey - she went home with the best holiday gift ever, her sight.  God just loves to do extraordinary things in the most unexpected of places!

Amazing story of blind eyes opening from the team in Mexico last week! Wow!

I hope we hear more about that tweet when Andrew comes to speak to us on Sunday fresh from a mission to Mexico with a team from Revive Church, Hull.  God was certainly at work.

This Sunday come in faith expecting to receive from God - but be prepared to be challenged and inspired too.  We are praying that everyone there will have an encounter with God in some way and will go out different.  It's an exciting opportunity for us all.

This is how his ministry is described on the generation builders website:

"Andrew is a preacher and teacher of God’s Word who ministers with a fiery passion and prophetic anointing. Andrew has a burning desire to lift up Jesus Christ and see Him save, heal and deliver. In his meetings many people have been blessed and encouraged as he preaches a message of faith and hope and also stirred and challenged to seek God’s presence and give their all to Him. Along with the preaching of the Gospel, Andrew’s ministry is often accompanied with healings and miracles and times of encountering the Holy Spirit."

Can you remember what it was like the last time you went somewhere on your own for the first time?  It doesn't matter how confident a person you are, it can be daunting to walk into a place you have never been to before and into a group of people that you don't know.  We really don't want anyone to feel like that when they come to NLC.

We have a wonderful team of Stewards who are ready with a friendly smile to welcome people as they arrive and direct them to our meeting room. They can answer questions about the meeting, point out the facilities and introduce them to someone from our Welcome Team.  It's an important job and that first impression can make all the difference to how quickly someone feels at home with us.

So, have you been wondering how you could serve?  Well if so, being a Steward is a very good place to start and a great place to learn how to serve others.  If you can be ready with a smile and take an interest in people you can do this job and it's a great way to get to know people in the church better too.

If you would like to volunteer or would like more information let us know.
